How to apply for the visa
- Create an account on Cancillería Digital. Applications under the VISA PRO-V 90 procedure are made on the Cancillería Digital portal of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs. First-time users must create an account and complete the consular registration as a foreign natural person (official manuals and guidance).
- Prepare the documents
- Passport valid for at least six months after departure (until 28 May 2027).
- Photo: recent, passport-style, white background.
- Application form, completed on Cancillería Digital.
- Invitation letter from the Venezuelan Chess Federation (see step 3).
- Proof of financial means: for the Championships it is supported by the invitation letter, which states who covers accommodation, meals and transfers. Officially invited players have their accommodation covered by the Organizing Committee; everyone else, by the Eurobuilding hospitality package. Please also attach one of the optional documents below.
Optional, recommended for a faster review:
- Payment receipt or booking confirmation of the hospitality package.
- Letter from your national federation endorsing the participation and, where applicable, covering the costs.
- Return flight ticket or reservation.
- Travel medical insurance covering the whole stay.
- The player's FIDE profile (ratings.fide.com) or proof of their role in the delegation.
- Under 18: travel authorisation from the parents or legal guardian, with the formalities required by your country, and a copy of the ID of the accompanying adult.
- Recent bank statement, only if you have neither the package receipt nor the federation letter.
- Invitation letter. The Venezuelan Chess Federation provides the letter and institutional support documents to those who requested it at registration.
- Send the Cancillería receipt. Once the application has been submitted on Cancillería Digital, send the receipt issued by Cancillería to [email protected], with the participant's name and federation in the subject line. This lets the Organizing Committee follow up and speed up the approval.
Visa approval is the exclusive responsibility of the Venezuelan authorities.
