Canaima
Tepuis, rainforest and waterfalls in a World Heritage park, home to Angel Falls.
Canaima National Park, in south-eastern Venezuela, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its tepuis — flat-topped mountains among the oldest formations on the planet — give rise to rivers and waterfalls, including Angel Falls, the highest waterfall in the world.
It is reached by plane. Canaima Lagoon, with its tea-coloured waterfalls in front of the camp, is one of the best-known images of Venezuela.
